THE STORY
Guilherme Santos began his musical studies with Maestro Pedro Cameron, with whom he studied musical theory, harmony, regency, and was enchanted by the studies of classical guitar and classical music. He has participated in Masterclass throughout Brazil with the main names of classical guitar and regents, such as Maestro John Neschling, and guitarists Pavel Stadl, Jorge Cabalero, and Fabio Zanon. Conductor and artistic director of the Rio Claro Guitar Chamber, where he performs pedagogical works and concerts all over the São Paulo State , as well as developing a project to educate the audience and foment the classical guitar repertoire as a soloist!

As chamber music is often a novelty for a certain audience, the choice of both the repertoire and the didactic script of the performance was made with the intention of affirming the willingness of guitarist Guilherme Santos to perform the activities of public formation for classical music, because only a systematic, permanent and long-term work can cause transformations that signal a consolidation of the musical segment in people’s taste.
Program Note
The program highlights the great composers, and arrangers of the classical guitar universe, being quite comprehensive and diverse. We can highlight the great national anthem of the Brazilian guitar "Abyss of Roses" (Abismo de Rosas) by Canhoto, the lightness and melodic beauty of Barcarola "Julia Florida" by Agustin Barrios, the romanticism of the French popular song "Fascination" by Maurice de Féraudy and Dante Pilade Marchetti, the creative audacity and harmonic genius of Tom Jobim in "Road to the Sun", all the atmosphere and characteristic of Spanish music in the compositions of Francisco Tarrega, Fernando Moreno Torroba and José de Azpiazu, a tribute to the award-winning composer and teacher Pedro Cameron, with "Ternura", in addition to the great national success "Affectionate"(Carinhoso) by Pixinguinha, and other hits by Dilermando Reis.
