Guilherme Santos, a previous award winner, takes on the important role of assistant conductor alongside French maestro Claude Brendel.
Guilherme Santos reaches a new level in his promising career. Awarded last year, he returns to the renowned Claude Brendel Academy in Brasília, now as assistant conductor to French maestro Claude Brendel himself. The academy, which runs from July 5th to 19th, is an important training event for new conductors.
Gui Santos’s participation as an assistant reflects not only his talent but also the recognition of his previous achievement: a scholarship for conducting specialization at the Rouen Conservatory in France. This award, according to him, “will certainly open doors in my career.”
Guilherme Santos’s involvement in the Claude Brendel Academy, alongside an international master, reinforces the excellence of Brazilian classical music and offers a valuable opportunity for improvement and exchange for the new generation of conductors in the country.
